This looks like measuring lengths, not angles. Is this angles of vision, and if so is it arm at full length?Sorry if I'm being a little dim!
Christopher Smy I did a quick estimate. My outstretched hand is about 24" from my eye, and three fingers together is about 2". Arctan(2/24) = 4.7 deg, so it's close enough for government work.
