Atheism is not a religion is an ability. Is an ability to understand life, to understand yourself and to question the meaning of everything that surrounds you.
Atheism is more than lack of God belief. To reject that claim u are talking about first u need to understand it. To understand religion and the extend of it u need to question it. Questioning religion, life and ur own existence gives u the ability to understand yourself as a human.
But I agree with your latter statement, if you question life and religion and everything you get a deeper understanding of yourself and the world, But thats not atheism, thats critical thinking.
Ummmm how u know to answer to a question of any type, not just the one about God, if you have no clue what is all about? Based on what u say atheists are just a bunch of clueless people who wake up one morning and said : Screw God!
You don't have an answer to the question "is there a god?" You have the stand "I don't find any evidence to accept the claim that there is a god." There is a difference. Being an atheist doesn't require you to have some special insight or something, it's the rejection of a claim

ReplyDeleteNo you dont have to have any deeper knowlege. It comes back to what I wrote. "Do you believe in A". If not then you dont need anything else.
