Meet Frank and Louie, a cat with two faces! He's not two conjoined twins, he is a single cat with two faces. The condition is called "Diprosopus" and Frank and Louie is the oldest known surviving cat who suffers from it.
Diprosopus is caused by a malfunction in development in the sonic hedgehog protein (yes, that's a real protein).
fake!

OK, these screen shots sure do make it look like photo edits.
ReplyDeleteI watched the vid and I'll have to admit that if she said the cat is 12 years old, then it must be a pretty tough beast.
Imagine how screwed up the esophagus and oropharyngeal cavity are!
How much of the extra anatomy is functional?
ReplyDeleteKent Morrison I know...very unusual cat
