A malaria vaccine has become the first to provide 100% protection against the disease, confounding critics and far surpassing any other experimental malaria vaccine tested. It will now be tested further in clinical trials in Africa

  2. It is very exciting but we need to be careful about tone. This was a very small study with further trails needed to show efficacy in diverse populations and a great deal of work remaining to make distribution possible to affected areas. Wonderful that a proof of concept for a malaria vaccine has finally been established!
