What is going on here?
Europium tetrakis (Dibenzoylmethide) showing triboluminescence effect. This effect occurs when the destruction of crystalline solids by converting the kinetic energy directly into light.
You can try this also with sugar. Just sit in a dark room, put into a blender a few sugar cubes, and enjoy the fireworks.
