Beneath...

Beneath...
Beneath a brown duvet, exposed
There’s a corpse now, turning rose
Bones filled with cotton candy
They need a lick to feel the deep.

Frozen ichor into the pipes
Make this carcass look alive!
Beneath the ventral pallidum fibre,
There’s a whisper of a wonder

Beneath these ribs,
Close to the spine
Zephyr pinch...
A string is touched.

  4. I actually like my words....haunted by darkness but with a pinch of rose syrup.

  5. It's a lovely poem.  Just, when someone who's seen more of people's insides than anyone else on G+ starts writing poetry about disassembled dead people under the couch, spoooooky!

  7. I heard Vincent Price's voice read every syllable.  Superb, sublime, with a macabre and unusual use of layers where normally the layers are in the many meanings here they are the depth of the subject itself… nice.
