I was just thinking about you because I was thinking about photography. I just posted a public questions about aperture;) This quote resonates with me. It is my goal to live my life just like this. Sometimes, though, my timidity gets in the way.
Why don't you make a collection of photos rather than a community. I honestly don't check communities anymore, don't see the point and I rather check interesting collections than communities.
Patrick Horgan Yes. I don't care for collections as that is nothing more than a way of grouping private posts. If you want to discuss a topic then it needs an interesting variety of participants (less the trolls of course!).
Not sure what you mean by "private posts" Kenny Chaffin . Most of the people have public collections ;) As for the communities...I cannot follow earthlings rules, so screw that!
I hear you Kenny Chaffin but I'm not interested in communities. Most of them are irrelevant. There are a few interesting ones however, that cover science, medicine, photography, math.
Corina, when you said, As for the communities...I cannot follow earthlings rules, so screw that!, if it were possible, I would have admired you more:) I like your snarky brilliance, quite a bit like my genius sister Jackie:) She might have even said something just like that if she was still around (breast cancer grrrr). She and a friend ran a sci-fi convention is Houston. The dumb rules are the most common reason I don't post in communities. One that annoys me is that many want me to add a copyright me notice to everything I post, even though just by creating in the US it is already copyright. I understand they are trying to cut down on plagiarists, but if someone is willing to pass someone else's work as their own, they won't balk at adding a copyright notice. Dumb.

Corina Marinescu Right, but it's not a community. It's nothing more that a categorization of one person's posts.
ReplyDeleteIt's not a common interest community.
