The elementary puzzle finally solved... Now they just need names
ReplyDeleteSolved? Row 7 is completed. This is probably just a fraction of what's out there. Is this table still valid for Mars? What we need now is not names; those can be named snot and potatochips for what I care, but HOW-TOs for how to make/extract them would be very welcome.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure there will be a new one at some point, which will be more complicated, taking into account a deeper detail of the complexity of quantum behaviour. Kind of like from elementary to junior high/middle school
ReplyDeleteWell done Cori - shall we go snowboarding now in Zermatt ?
ReplyDeleteA pair of bad science teachers in high school ensured I never was instructed properly and I have never learned this table. But I have terrible rote memorization skills.
ReplyDeleteI'm mostly curious what is at position 0, and how we can manipulate these things at 0 degrees kelvin.
ReplyDeleteYou may want to stop with the invites Goebel, NOT interested....and I MEAN IT!!!
ReplyDeleteGoebel Volker First of all this thread is about the periodic table of elements.
ReplyDeleteSkiing in Zermat is for people who like showing off; or should I say insecure people who bought an expensive coat, go somewhere real.
Skiing is all about the experience of skiing.
Eldorado in July should be good, this time of year Turkey has some interesting places above 4000m, Silvretta arena is usually very enjoyable; the moguls are usually awesome there but is there snow in the Austrian/Swiss alps this year? last time I checked Ischgl was +6c, oh! now it's -1c
Lemmium in there?
ReplyDeleteGoebel Volker , try not to ski off a cliff.
