Who's Nadine?
Robo Nadine works as a receptionist at Singapore's Nanyang Technological University. It looks, and acts, just like a human receptionist would and unlike many conventional robots exhibits personality, moods and emotions. It's also humanoid; Nadine looks just like a normal receptionist, only slightly less human.

ReplyDeleteI'd prefer a robot that looks like a robot, like the maschinenmensch Maria from Metropolis. The impressive thing here is the speech and comprehension, not the expression or movement.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could meet one of these, they fascinate me! it's a pretty crude animation yet but WOW, we are on our way to androids!!! Nevermind the cowards who let it creep them out, they're not developing anyway. I'd buy a housebot to help me in lieu of children but they're not quite available yet. I won't require a face or figure on my bot but i'm sure he'll come with a cute face and anthropomorphic figure all the same.
