Everyone has ocean's to fly, if they have the heart to do it. Is it reckless? Maybe. But what do dreams know of boundaries?
On this day 1928, Amelia Earhart became the 1st woman to fly across the Atlantic - as a passenger. Flew it herself 1932.

Ms. Earhart did well, and has inspired generations. Given the technology of the times, no GPS, and that everything was LORAN, known point, or dead reckoning navigation. She and her copilot had a lot of courage to try what they did.
