Regardless if the stress was experienced in adolescence or adulthood, males that experienced stressful situations before mating had offspring with an altered hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis in the brain; the area associated with stress response. As a result, the offspring had a diminished response to stress, which is common in certain mental disorders.

  3. I think this is about major stress and trauma, not about worrying if you're gonna fail your 9th grade paper, or if ur girlfriend cheats on u...or many other "daily stress events".
