Anatomical dissection of love..but love can be blind of details..however nice to see partial shift from pure science to spirituality.... Nice change corina
Poindexter chose the word naked consciously and purposefully. A naked soul is bared, unselfish and willing to risk itself. Only through so doing is genuine loving and being loved possible.
His love for this person doesn't start at the beauty or outward appearance (the skin), nor the person's personality or inner beauty (organs-i.e. a big heart for loving affection, or a brain for intelligence and wisdom, and for bones-i.e. strong, enduring, structured). His love for this person is deeper than that by first loving the naked soul- bare, unfiltered, never aging, accepting not just the beautiful or the good, but this person's flaws as well ("I will love madly first,...").
For some reason Pointdexter's quote here reminds me a father's comment on a French usenet newsgroup a good dozen years ago, about his own daughter: comme beaucoup de jeunes femmes de son âge, elle présente une charmante atrophie du modus ponens.
Sounds rite to me👄💞💋

ReplyDeleteAt least, this is how I read this beautiful poem.
He's saying that he will love the inner person first which is a beautiful thing to say. ❤️.
