  1. Lots of lingering ambiguities.
    There's an art of approaching causation by uncertain proxies that's likely more natural to physicians (not to speak of climate scientists) than it is to programmers.

    Doesn't there exist a domain where the rule of "correlation isn't causation" relaxes? I imagine approximations to pure catalogues of true causations, that would be soups of correlations measurements, enriched in true causations, like uranium samples can be enriched in fissile isotope.

    At once, if the soup of measured correlations is curated in a distributed manner, by people vulnerable to mistaking correlation for causation, then this creates new conventions that will anyway need to be computed with, to communicate effectively.
