Two things comes to mind when I look at this =)
1. feeding our brain makes us happy and reverse: in a good mood we learn better - human brain is designed like that, and awards us with some fine homemade drugs for good new input
2. fear kills learning and creativity

I'd disagree. Fear or stress don't kill learning. At least not entirely. Depression does. But that's a different animal
ReplyDeleteWhile stress doesn't "kill" learning, it does seem to affect (negatively) learning and memory, even if it lasts only a few hours http://psychcentral.com/news/2008/03/12/stress-affects-learning-and-memory/2031.html
ReplyDeleteThis wasn't a scientific statement ...I said what it comes to my mind when I watch this image and is completely true for me.
ReplyDeleteOh and I was not talking about depression, =)
ReplyDeleteFear is for survival, it ought to be strong primal instinct. Sometimes it is for your rescue, sometimes it works against you. Nothing's perfect..
