I rarely like poetry...mostly because people expressing in rhymes bore me. I like other types of books..which sew my brain and edit my soul.
However..now and then some rhymes tickle my synapses with authenticity. LH is one of those, because his words are realistic and authentic and less fancy and juicy.
So, for me 1.02.2014 = Langston Hughes Day
Poems don't necessarily have to rhyme, but like novels and art, it is completely subjective. Variety makes things interesting
ReplyDeleteSam Collett is a writer so I understand his opinion, however I know what makes me lick my brain patrik bdo =)
ReplyDeleteAlright, Ms Corina Marinescu, now we know why you have trouble sleeping...:)
ReplyDeleteIndeed Eric Ramos ;)

ReplyDeleteWikibrain needs a turn off switch ;)
ReplyDeleteSleep or standby mode maybe better
ReplyDeleteSome people express in rhymes, probably because rhymes 'tickle' their synapses too, while dry numbers and logic just plainly bore them.
ReplyDeleteThen again, that's what makes the variety of people around us interesting. Diversity of all those minds
Sleep is way better than stand by. Here's a demonstration:
ReplyDeleteZzzzzzz. Z, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzx
...although, soothing music can lull the busy mind into dreamland, too...
ReplyDeletePlaying piano helps Eric Ramos ;)
ReplyDeletePerfect!
ReplyDeleteKuba Rychlik I don't care about other people brains, unless they levitate in my universe... told ya, I'm a selfish creature...cold and mean ;)
ReplyDeleteHopefully something more calm than Tchiakovsky...;)
