  1. I wonder if the notion to make something aesthetically beautiful, as well as intensely functional will make a resurgence. Yes, Apple, I know, but I'm really talking about something more along the lines of the craftsmanship with which this microscope was obviously lovingly constructed.

  2. Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication, and unfortunately in my opinion that has nothing to do with Apple. 
    Only unique products hold the 'resurrected' title, after all why would you like something that everyone has?!

  3. Even the word craftsmanship is rarely used these days. It's sad how hollow the analogs are in our modern commercialized, mass production society. For example, the heavily scripted CEO marketing pitches that Steve Jobs ushered in that are now de rigueur.
