I always thought that histology was one of the more interesting laboratory courses we had to take... till I had access to pathology and OR's, after that looking under the microscope went to boring category.
I love silly stuff...I do and say all kinds of crappiolli stuff to my family and friends... on that note I so need these dessert plates, who would notice that I serve tiramisu in a testicle plate ? =)

U can buy these histology dessert plates by Emily Evans here:

Marsupials, like this red kangaroo, undergo a short gestational period compared to eutherian mammals. The corpus luteum isn’t maintained, and a placenta does not form. As a result, the gestational stage in red kangaroos, the largest extant marsupials, is only about 30 days

THE CARDIAC CYCLE

THE CARDIAC CYCLE

The rhythmic contraction of the heart is called heartbeat. A cardiac cycle is defined as a complete cardiac movement, including systole, intervening pause, and diastole. The cardiac cycle begins with depolarization of the SA node and atrial contraction. Each cycle requires a certain length of time for its completion. Pressure, volume, electrical, and sound changes occur during each cycle. Heart sounds are created primarily from turbulence in blood flow created by valves closing, not from contraction.

Computer Imaging Technology Creates X-Ray Videos: Rotoscoping

Computer Imaging Technology Creates X-Ray Videos: Rotoscoping

Imagine being able to see inside an animal and watch its bones move.  Imagine if scientists had a better way to study moving skeletons and doctors had a better way to diagnose and study skeletal injuries.  This capability may no longer be out of reach.  Stephen Gatesy and David Baier, NSF-funded researchers at Brown University, have developed a method of clearly observing the movement of skeletons of living animals.
Using a novel technique called scientific rotoscoping, the researchers simultaneously record standard video of moving animals and X-ray images of their moving skeletons. From these images an animated 3-D computer model of the moving skeleton overlaid on the digital recording of the moving animal can be used to study coordinated skeletal movement with animal movement for the first time

The new steerable robotic needle designed by scientists at Vanderbilt University in Tennessee could prevent a lot of collateral damage during brain surgery. In simulations, the needle removed 92% of blood clots.
“I think this can save a lot of lives. There are a tremendous number of intracerebral hemorrhages and the number is certain to increase as the population ages,” says Dr Kyle Weaver, professor of neurological surgery.

SEM of a 4 day old zebrafish embryo

SEM of a 4 day old zebrafish embryo
The image was captured by David McCarthy using a FEI Quanta 200F Scanning Electron Microscope. Prior to imaging, the sample was chemically fixed, dehydrated in graduated alcohol, then dried and coated with 5 nm gold particles. The Zebrafish was then physically attached to a stub (specimen holder) by its tail and tilted to 65 degrees to reveal the morphology seen here.
As zebrafish embryos are approximately 1 cm in length, 3 separate images had to be taken along the length of the embryo and then stitched back together digitally. Color was then added to the black and white image and Annie Cavanagh said she “colored the image using tones and shading to try and represent the reflections from fish scales.

Ruptured Blood Vessel

Ruptured Blood Vessel

Color-enhanced image of red blood cells leaking out of a ruptured blood vessel. This is due to a mutation in the ephrin-B2 gene that causes the blood vessels to be more fragile than normal leading to an increased rate of hemorrhaging. The fragility is due to the inadequate coverage of the vessel by smooth muscle cells. This kind of leaky blood vessel is frequently found in tumors and in certain other human diseases.

Methane-digesting Enzyme

This important breakthrough is helping researchers improve the synthesis of methanol—a process that would make natural gas a viable energy alternative to petroleum.

A free-floating atmospheric pressure ball plasma is created when surface electricity is discharged into a solution.

In this experiment, a  4.5 kV, 0.2 millifarad capacitor was discharged into a 2-gallon bucket of water and copper sulfate.  The electric discharge caused a long-lived (300 millisecond) plasma orb to rise above the water.
The surface electrode had a negative polarity, and the discharge current was in the range of 80 Amperes. The faint orange line around the plasma ball is the result of the plasma interacting with the air. The plasma in this image consists primarily of copper cations and hydroxyl anions.

Doesn't mean that I take the credit of some materials....means simply that U need to search and learn for urself. If u don't like it, simply don't read or block me, I don't need any followers or attention or other BS.
Also I wont lose my time arguing with random people...if ur point is different great...I still don't give a fuck.
On this page I post explicit medical info with dead people including children so I don't wanna hear all the BS related to this.....simply block me!
