Today is Dmitri Ivanovich Mendeleev Day - the man whose ground-breaking work led to the creation of the modern periodic table of elements.
Here’s a fun look at his contributions from Lou Serico and TED-Ed:
The genius of Mendeleev's periodic table - Lou Serico
indeed... his work was phenomenal and still is.
ReplyDeleteIt was quite incredible that he predicted elements that had not been discovered in creating this
ReplyDeleteVery much so Sam Collett ;)
ReplyDeleteAmi Iida Japanese style periodic table? Nan ja sore? ;)
ReplyDeleteI googled Japanese periodic table and it appeared to be laid out the same way: http://www.ptable.com/?lang=ja
What can be inferred from the Mendeleev's periodic table ( i prefer this view: http://www.av8n.com/physics/img48/pt-basic-32.png ) about the internal structure of atoms, and the possible chemical compounds?
ReplyDeleteNice. :)
ReplyDelete覚える ために..
ReplyDeleteOh I see. You use a rhyme as a mnemonic aid for memorizing the periodic table in Japan. lol
That reminds me of this periodic table tune. I guess someone really motivated to learn the periodic table could use it too: The NEW Periodic Table Song (In Order)
