A Canadian inventor flew a hoverboard 905 feet 2 inches easily breaking the previous record.
 Catalin Alexandru Duru's - (this name sounds Romanian, but for the record I'll just assume he loves Canada more ;) hoverboard uses a system of battery-powered propellers to stay in the air, capable of lifting the pilot up to 5 m above the surface.

  4. Are we sure it's battery powered? The second article (testtube) says so, but the first doesn't, and the article at the Guinness Book of World Records site doesn't.

  5. Well since this is sort of like a drone, and is propeller-driven, I assume internal combustion engine requires fuel, right Peter Blass ? Perhaps is not battery powered....ummm, better to wait for the full description. Thanks for pointing that out! :)
