HERMES
The vast majority of humans are brilliant. We’re particularly incredible however at balancing, problem solving and naturally understanding forces. Robots on the other hand have a fair way to go on that front.
This robot is designed to take use of human reflexes to solve tasks through a novel interface. Including complex things such as punching walls, smashing things and generally balancing against forces.

ReplyDeleteI can imagine sending these on space missions, for example, to Mars and asteroids. Operated remotely to repair (JWST, ISS), dig, collect samples etc. First 'manned' mission to Mars could be a robot based on this technology
ReplyDeleteNow all that's left is to equip it with a knife and just a little AI.
