  1. Well...I'm not sure what the first part is really, but that sucker is a sine wave with an amplitude of 4, a perod of 2pi/7 and a horizontal shift to the right of pi/2.

  2. Should reproduction be be considered a basic human right?

  3. Only if u can find an algorithm for that, Merlin :)

  4. wouldn't this be a an integral?

  5. Corina Marinescu : Ha!  I'll work on it, but proof might take testing all the possible inputs.  ;-)

  6. you have to calculate the derivative, then replace X with 0

    It's kinda coool :D

  7. Meh, if this would be as a captcha i'd probably never visit that site again...

  8. 28 cos (7x - Pi/2) evaluated at x=0, which is 0.

  9. Be extremely lazy and notice that sin(-pi/2) is the bottom of a trough. The gradient there is zero.

  10. I too thought it was 28*cos(-Pi/2) = 0

Wolfram Alpha shows a different derivative, same answer though

    It's the same derivative.

    28cos(7x-PI/2) = 28sin(7x)

sin and cos are just shifted versions of each other.

  12. The concept is interesting---a capchka that keeps the riff-raff out.

  13. This derivative = with the number of attempts u tried to sign in. It's a good trick ;)
