ReplyDeleteNow, the projector needs to actually fit on my wrist or there is no point (if its almost as big a small keyboard itself). But cool idea, I was wondering when they'd get to this. Combine with screen projected on wall, or better, holographic, in a wristwatch/phone? I'd buy.

ReplyDeleteI think that the eyes will become the prime communication device for humans, long term, whether directly or as drivers of attendant technologies. As a simple matter of efficiency: Our eyes can both import information faster than any of our other sensory organs, and the motility of the eye, geometrically, means that the eye can also produce more variants of pattern than any of our other motive means.
ReplyDeleteIt is not out of the realm of possibility for humans to learn to communicate with their eyes, as an alternative to using their ears and mouths.

ReplyDeleteMore generally, I don't think humans have understood their inherent physiology and genetics sufficiently, and the potentials therein, to presume that cyborg-like appendages are better than simply refining our natural proclivities. I imagine that, if it were the norm from birth, humans could communicate very cogently and precisely merely by looking into one another's eyes.
David Chako As the eyes are part of the brains, yet limited by the speed of light, you are probably right it’s fastest way for visual communication with the brains.
