November 17 is reserved to August Ferdinand Möbius
August Ferdinand Möbius was a German mathematician and theoretical astronomer.
He is best known for his discovery of the Möbius strip, a non-orientable two-dimensional surface with only one side when embedded in three-dimensional Euclidean space.

It was independently discovered by Johann Benedict Listing around the same time. The Möbius configuration, formed by two mutually inscribed tetrahedra, is also named after him. Möbius was the first to introduce homogeneous coordinates into projective geometry.
Many mathematical concepts are named after him, including the Möbius plane, the Möbius transformations, important in projective geometry, and the Möbius transform of number theory.

His interest in number theory led to the important Möbius function μ(n) and the Möbius inversion formula. In Euclidean geometry, he systematically developed the use of signed angles and line segments as a way of simplifying and unifying results.

  1. If you like to enjoy hidden surprises in the Mobius strip just cut off someone like this at its length ( No transversal Atila way ) and see what happens. Then you can cut off again same way. If you started with an enough wide Mobius strip you'll enjoy the results.

  2. If you watch it for about 3 to 5 minutes it can be quite hypnotic.

  3. Of course I am talking of a Mobius strip made of paper and tape.
You just get a wide enough strip of paper do it a half turn, taped the extremes and then after contemplating your advanced experiment on odd monosurfaces at least for a minute you go to have a good pair of scissors and start the second stage by cutting off the strip.
Do you believe you' will get 2 rings?
    Sorry but you are wrong.
